Currently accepting new adult clients
Offering individualized psychotherapy through telehealth or in-person sessions in Friendship Heights, Washington, DC 20015. Licensed in Maryland/DC, with appointments in English or Spanish. In-network with Aetna and Optum/United Health Care. For other insurance carriers, out-of-network care includes a monthly superbill, to facilitate seeking reimbursement.
I am in-network with Aetna and Optum/United Healthcare.
For clients who have other insurances or would prefer to not use their insurance for therapy, I offer care as an out-of-network provider. I accept credit/debit cards as well as Health Savings Accounts.
This means:
Clients pay for each session.
At the end of the month, I provide you with a superbill, which is a specialized receipt required by insurance for reimbursement.
Clients submit the superbill to insurance, then can receive reimbursement based on your benefits.
My rate is $175 per session for out-of-network sessions. For clients with out-of-network benefits, it is helpful to confirm the details of your benefits such as the allowed amount for CPT codes 90791, 90834, 90837 which can help you better anticipate potential reimbursement for the cost of therapy.
I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots based on need.
The cost of therapy depends on the details of your insurance plans (if you use your insurance). Some clients prefer to not use insurance for increased privacy.
For clients with Aetna or Optum/United health care, you would be charged your copay for in-network psychotherapy.
For clients with other insurances, I encourage you to call your insurance to clarify your benefits:
Do I have out-of-network benefits for outpatient psychotherapy?
What is my out-of-network deductible and have I met it?
What is the allowed amount for 45-minute or 53-minute sessions (CPT codes 90834 or 90837) for zip code 20015?
Prior to our first appointment, I provide all out-of-network clients with a Good Faith Estimate so that you can confidently budget for your care.
Length of treatment can vary depending on your goals, needs and situation. Both initially and throughout therapy, we collaborate to set treatment goals, share feedback, noticing and reflecting on progress made in therapy and offer clinical observations.
